HOW TO FIND “LA LAUVE” By car Program your navigator at D10, 06260 Saint-Pierre, Frankrijk 43.901881 - 6.940484 and follow the directions. Route via Grenoble, Sisteron, Digne les Bains. From the N85 (Route Napoléon) at Barrême turn off in the direction of N202, Puget Théniers.Route via A8 Aix en Provence, Nice. At the A8, exit 52, N202 in the direction of Digne / Grenoble until Puget Théniers. In Puget Théniers, cross the bridge over the Var towards La Penne, Col Saint Raphaël (D2211A). Follow the road up to La Penne, and pass the village La Penne and after a couple of kilometers take a very sharp turn right to the village of St Pierre and watch for a sign “La Lauve” on your side where you should turn left. The road to “Les Louveteaux” is bumpy. Therefore Ferrari’s and Porsche’s will have problems in which case you should use our Landrover for the last part. By trainThe scenic small gauge “Train des Pignes” ( see https://www.trainprovence.com ) , a train connection appearing in the great railway documentaries and popular amongst tourists, runs between Nice and Digne and stops in Puget-Théniers. Enjoy the slow trip along the Var river while watching the changing vegetation, from Mediterranean to Alpine.
